Bio
Chelsea Villareal
I had the pleasure of being Amelia's colleague and role sponsor during her time at LifeLabs Learning. In my role, I met with Amelia on a bi-weekly basis to offer feedback on her facilitation skills, coaching on work-related challenges, and support for her development goals. Amelia consistently exceeded performance metrics in her primary role, but that is merely the tip of the iceberg. From day one I was struck by Amelia's warmth, curiosity, and emotional attunement. She has that very special and elusive ability to 'read the room' and deliver exactly the kind of experience that is needed to maximize learning outcomes and create delight for participants in the process. I have seen her work with audiences that run the gamut from ICs of a local non-profit to Forbes 500 executives-- no matter what environment she finds herself in, Amelia finds a way to connect with the most human parts of her learners and help them generate new and unexpected insights. In my 8 year career in adult learning and development, Amelia stands out as one of the most self-motivated facilitators and learners I have ever met. She brings a rare combination of courage, rigor, and alacrity to her work that allows her to make the kind of developmental gains in mere weeks and months that might take others years to achieve. If you're looking for self-starter who will hit the ground running and serve as a compassionate force for positive organizational change, you've found her.

I worked with Amelia for 3+ years as a senior member of the Teacher Professional Development Team. Amelia would be on my short list of collaborators for any project or team because she personifies excellence in leadership, teamwork, empathy and creativity. As a leader, she excels at defining a vision and recruiting others to shape and enhance the vision collectively. She intuits the needs and strengths of her team mates and steps up or steps back to enable individuals on the team to be successful. She actively listens and uses her empathy super powers to understand, translate, and refine ideas. She combines her expertise in design thinking and backwards planning, tuning protocols, and coaching strategy with an infectious "let's try it" attitude that unlocks great ideas. Working alongside Amelia resulted in some of my proudest professional achievements and taught me so much about what leadership should look like.

After over a decade of experience coaching professionals in K-12, nonprofit, and business settings, I began offering my services as a coach and facilitator for individuals or teams. I have helped leaders who are implementing new systems, cultivating culture shifts on their teams, or seeking that elusive work/life balance.
