Contracted to Vale’s Carborough Downs Coal Mine as a Supervising Exploration Geologist. Responsibilities consist of organising and coordinating a multiple drill rig exploration program from planning though to rehabilitation. This includes training new Geologist, issuing permits, organising earthworks, wireline loggers and reporting daily to the client. Conferring with Senior Geologists and Managers in relation to scheduling, drill progress, budgets, ground conditions and mine plan changes. Weekly meetings with the Vale Senior geology team to discuss data quality, improvements and client issues.I have gained experience in a range of field skills including core logging (HQ, PQ, 4C), chip logging, Q1 Lost gas testing, coal quality analysis, water quality testing, point load testing and geotechnical sampling. I am competent with Acquire offline and online logging including correcting to geophysics, as well as Logcheck, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. Show less
