Provide lifeguard services at a full service health and fitness center. Responsible for the observation and safeguarding of patrons of the aquatic facility in and around a 50m x 25m x 2m 8-lane lap pool and an adjacent 3′ x 12′ (depth) multipurpose pool with 1-meter diving board. Recognize and respond effectively to hazardous situations in an aquatic environment. Enforce all pool policies, rules and regulations. Skills include (preschool, Levels 1 – 4, ages 3 – 5): glides, arm movements, kicking, rhythmic breathing, back float, front crawl, and back crawl; and (children, Levels 1 – 7, ages 6 and up): rotary breathing, back stroke, sidestroke, kneeling dives, elementary backstroke, breaststroke, standing dives, lifesaving strokes, and competitive strokes.
