I worked with Amelia for almost two years at Transcend Spatial Solutions and it was a pleasure for me. I have seen Amelia working and excelling in a complex projects that require new thinking, creativity, and innovation. Amelia provide to the teams high level of expertise in GIS, proposal creation, organization, business relations, and software analysis. She is a great a leader and fantastic team player. She is always helping others to understand complex issues related to data and geo-information. Amelia has high attention to details and deep understanding of technical problems. I think if one day she wants to move career she will do a great software developer and I definitely will enjoy working with her. I think Amelia is a great asset for any organization.

As the lead worker on a team of 9 GIS professionals, I have extensive knowledge of the department of Minnesota's GIS roadway network. Over the past 3 years I have helped the GIS unit move from a mainframe system to a cutting-edge Linear Referencing System (LRS) using ESRI's Roads and Highways technology. Through this transition, I played a key role in developing new workflows using ESRI's workflow manager and in producing business processes for editors to follow in order to maintain data accuracy. I developed and provided training for the current GIS team and created training processes to help bring any new editors up to speed.Since the implementation of the LRS, one of my primary tasks has been quality control of the data. As the LRS includes more than 100,000 roadway miles and over 30 different roadway characteristics for these roads, there is a large amount of data to manage. I directed the development of more than 50 quality control checks through a combination of ESRI's Data Reviewer tools, oracle SQL checks, and spatial checks. These checks, and the subsequent maintenance that I oversee, help ensure that the data is clean and accurate for both the public as well as internal department of transportation engineers, planners, and safety analysts. I currently participate in the department of transportation's GIS Steering Team which guides and promotes the growth of GIS technology throughout the department. The steering team work includes organizing statewide GIS training, directing technology upgrades, and developing data governance guidelines. Show less
