I got an internship at a nationally respected law firm, Naqvi Law Associates, working under the firm's founder Syed Zulfiqar Naqvi. Because of the numerous books I have read along with taking Business Law at my high school, I have developed a strong interest in law. I was given the opportunity to go inside some of the biggest courts in Pakistan and watch firsthand how the job is done, and I have to say that it was an incredible experience and way more interesting than the books I read. I learned about what it entails to be a lawyer, from securing clients to actual litigation and trial prep. I watched a political case from inside the courtroom and even got to shake hands with the famous politician Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhary we were defending (see picture attached below). The internship was a great experience and heightened my interest in this career path. I know that law especially in the intellectual property field, is a big part of the tech and entrepreneurial world! I learned so much! Show less
