The Medicare Advocacy Project (MAP) represents Vermonters who are dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid, and Medicare denies coverage of home health or skilled nursing facility services. We represent the Department of Vermont Health Access (Medicaid State agency) and appeal decisions where Medicare won't cover the above stated services. MAP works to ensure that Medicare pays for senior care. I also work in the Elder Law Project (ELP). This is a generalist practice and I will assist Vermont's seniors with their various legal needs (housing, benefits, social security, long term Medicaid, etc.) Show less

I was on the Public Records Committee, where we worked diligently to request public records for the Brady List Project that has been making waves across the United States. I requested and analyzed public records pertaining to use of force reports against the police, civilian complaints against the police, and Habitual Offender and Armed Career Criminal convictions in the state of MA. We were very focused in on racial bias as an overarching issue in policing and prosecuting. I also attended duty days at Lowell Trial Court and did a research project on the Cop-link database. I have presented my initial research to a subcommittee at the Massachusetts Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. I also attended many webinars and trainings pertaining to racial bias and issues in lawyering. Show less
