I had the privilege of working with Amber for five years and her contributions to the organization have been nothing short of remarkable. Her work crossed over many areas including effective management of Board processes and governance, Committee logistics and oversight, event design and implementation and excellent project management. Amber has also been the key person in reporting on our business success and through her efforts saw the organization receive local, provincial and national recognition. She accomplished all this with professionalism and timeliness well beyond her years of experience. As well she maintained a positive attitude through some challenging instances that inspired others to do the same. She is one of those that make people around her better. If you ever have the opportunity to work alongside Amber; take it!

As the primary human resources leader at Consumer Protection BC, I proactively work to promote excellent human resource management. This means I work with all levels of staff on issues that directly affect them - from recruitment and onboarding all the way to performance management and labour relations. I consider my work to have a high degree of autonomy, which is (rightly so) paired with a great deal of accountability and responsibility. I enjoy working with others to balance an employee-oriented environment with the needs of a dynamic business that is partial to constant change. Consumer Protection BC, an award-winning organization, is an incredible place to work. I pride myself on leading and participating in the strategic initiatives that enhance our corporate culture, boost employee engagement and help us realize our vision in the BC marketplace.
