As an Assistant Professor at Saint Joseph’s College, I have known Amber Booth for more than three years. During that period of time, I taught Amber in a number of courses and served as her academic advisor. She shows up for class, is always on time, and is prepared for class. Amber is serious about her studies and performs well on individual assignments, as well as group projects. Amber is a good student who cares about her studies. Though quiet by nature, Amber is an excellent communicator. Her interactions with me as both student and advisee have shown her emotional and social intelligence. She exudes positivity and exhibits a strong will to succeed. Work-life balance is a challenge for all of us, but Amber appears to do it effortlessly, managing both her studies and work requirements during the school year. She has shown a strong character in all of her dealings with me. She submits her work on time, participates fully in class, and is respectful of classmates, staff, and faculty. I recommend Amber Booth highly for a position in business management.

It gives me great pleasure to recommend Amber Booth for any assignment, school or professional, for which she pursues. Amber has worked with our company for the past two summers as a full-time teller. She was quick to learn the proficiencies needed to be successful. Additionally, as a summer teller, she was required to float between our four branches located in different communities resulting in a mastery of communication and teamwork skills. Amber always has a positive attitude, a willingness to take on more and a drive to succeed. I believe Amber has great things in her future, will be a respected colleague, and an asset to her future employers.

Balance currency, coin, and checks in cash drawers at ends of shifts and calculate daily transactions, using computers, calculators, or adding machines. Receive checks and cash for deposit, verify amounts, and check accuracy of deposit slips. Monitor bank vaults to ensure cash balances are correct. Cash checks and pay out money after verifying that signatures are correct, that written and numerical amounts agree, and that accounts have sufficient funds. Count currency, coins, and checks received, by hand or using currency-counting machine, to prepare them for deposit or shipment to branch banks or the Federal Reserve Bank. Enter customers' transactions into computers to record transactions and issue computer-generated receipts. Examine checks for endorsements and to verify other information, such as dates, bank names, identification of the persons receiving payments, and the legality of the documents. Resolve problems or discrepancies concerning customers' accounts. Show less
