Track, analyze, and engage in complex energy related issues on the Colorado Plateau at the federal, tribal, state, and local levels. Work closely with Colorado Plateau tribes and nations as well as diverse stakeholders to address energy related activities that threaten people, water, air, land, and wildlife. Support tribal advocacy efforts where invited by tribal governments or tribal members to do so. Unpack complicated processes and technical scientific information to be more accessible and actionable to the layperson. Areas of particular focus include: environmental justice, climate change, groundwater, uranium mining and milling, critical minerals, and oil and gas development.

Environmental Quality Advocate

Advocate for the protection of public lands, wildlife, air and water quality, and public health for current and future generations. Use engagement organizing strategies to engage WOC members and the public in conservation issues and to facilitate their involvement in the public decision-making process. Incorporate the best available information and science into messaging. Engage with state and federal agencies, the legislature, and other decision-makers to advocate for decisions, rules and regulations that protect public lands, air and water resources, and human health today and for future generations.

Led a group of six Americorp volunteers on twelve, 10-day long hitches over two summers doing conservation work on public land around Wyoming. Worked with the USFS, BLM, Wyoming Game and Fish and Wyoming State Parks to complete necessary work for which the agency would not have had the man-power or funding to complete otherwise. Projects included backcountry trail construction and maintenance, construction of wildlife-friendly fencing, removal of dead or dying trees near trails, parking lots and campgrounds, and restoration of state historical structures.
