I would like to take this opportunity to recommend Amber Miller. As a NEARS Scholar, Amber has demonstrated a strong work ethic along with the determination to be successful in the field of nursing. The NEARS Program (Nursing Education And Retraining for Success) is funded by a U.S. Department of Labor Grant that provides a highly competitive scholarship to assist students in the completion of their nursing career goals. Amber was able to complete a strenuous academic program through Ohio University’s School of Nursing and was also able to maintain all of the requirements of the NEARS Scholarship. I feel Amber has shown the abilities and qualities it takes to become a successful nurse, co-worker, and leader.
