I met Amber during the U21 Real Impact on Society and Environment awards. I am impressed by how she coordinates all the different teams across the time zones for meetings, and how capable she is of building a community of changemakers. Her passion for creating impact and mentoring youth is really commendable! I wish Amber all the best in her future endeavours.

Leading U21 strategy and operations relating to student experience and employability. Since joining U21 in June 2020 I have transformed the offer to students creating a pathway of award winning virtual programmes, U21 Global Student, that have increased the number of students engaged 40-fold. By removing barriers to international opportunities U21 Global Student programmes enable those unable or unwilling to engage in traditional mobility to have an international experience and build their own international peer network. I am also leading on an alumni strategy for continuing to engage the over 11,000 students who have connected with U21 since 2020 as well as continuing to manage several groups of senior and other stakeholders from our 28 partner universities. Responsibilities and projects: Reimagining the Future for U21 - Sustainable partnerships (6 month research and stakeholder engagement project on sustainable internationalisation - informed Business Strategy approved by Executive committee), managing external consultants on outsourced projects and programmes, negotiating contracts and invoicing for external partnerships, budget management, management of student administrators and network support officer.

I am part of the staff committee who volunteer to run the Women's Network (one of five University Staff Networks). In my role as Membership Co-ordinator I lead on enagaging new members and communication with members via the shared inbox. I also founded the Women's Network Book Club with a fellow committee member which was the first reoccuring Network event, helping to improve visibility and engagement with the network. In working on the committee I am also involved in planning University-wide events such as International Women's Day, Academic Conferences looking at issues traditionally seen to be 'Women's issues' and other member focused engagement events. Being involved in the committee in the first year of its launch also allowed me an opportunity to contribute to setting the strategic agenda of the committee and developing the committee structure and management.
