Amber, of Popinjay, is a gem of a gal and a hard-working business woman. We met earlier this year when I was cleaning out a house of older items no longer in use. I knew there had to be a market for them, but I had much on my plate and didn't have the time nor the energy to haul them around looking for buyers. I saw Amber's ad in a local advertisement at a restaurant and called her. I instantly like her and felt comfortable doing business with her. We met at the house I was cleaning and immediately hit it off. Her calling is to repurpose items one person can't use so that another (or an organization) can. She's been "keeping it green" for awhile in this manner..way before it was the "in" thing to do. Her creativity in her area of expertise is astounding. Since the home I was cleaning has a personal attachment, she was very considerate of my feelings and those of the homeowner. A plan was devised to declutter the home, but not upset the homeowner in the process. When the time comes for more decluttering, I plan to call Amber as I know she will be fair regarding the business end, but considerate regarding personal connections for the items. She will find them a good home and I will be compensated fairly.
