I did this internship through the Student Conservation Association (SCA) and AmeriCorps. I was an outdoor educator at Lake Metigoshe State Park for a 14-week internship. I created and lead lessons on topics such as Freshwater Ecology, Ecology games, Archery, and many more for school groups of about 50 kids ranging from 2nd grade to 6th grade. I also helped lead day camps for 7-12 year old's teaching fishing, kayaking, canoeing, survival skills, escape rooms outdoor activities, weather, water games, and more! I also lead many amphitheater talks on the park's history, pollination, trails, and many more, as well as teaching lake-side yoga for part attendants. Show less
