Development of a new and unique scientific equipment. This source combine Infrared Spectroscopy Imaging and Mass spectrometry imaging in order to study biological sample with the fast non-destruction infrared as pre-screening and chemical identification are both performed with infrared spectroscopy and mass spectrometry imaging. This device is used by several people from different knowledge (biologist for example), the design of the system and software have to be robust and easy to use.I'm the project leader of this project and collaborate with different services. I'm part of two groups, one at LBNL (Holman's group) and one at UC Berkeley Evan Willians Group (chemistry). I participate to the development of several projects in mass spectroscopy and also help PhD student with their projects. Development of a new scientific equipment coupling ion mobility with Time Of Flight and IR/UV cold spectroscopy. The goal was to investigate the IR spectroscopy of molecules to determine all the conformations of the biomolecule present (mostly peptides and proteins). This new equipment uses the ion mobility as conformer selectors. I participated actively on this project and was the project leader, by notably drawn and installed all the parts and equipments, I also designed the software and manual. I worked in this project with team of an other postdoc and a PhD Show less

Photodynamic of atoms embedded in gas rare cluster resolved by spectroscopy. My thesis is both experiment and theory and the goal is to resolve complex dynamics (with electronics and nuclear degrees of freedom) of model systems. I used different complex experiment device to reach my goal and also develop my own theoretical code to solve complex quantum simulation.
