I had the pleasure to work within one of Amar’s sales organizations for about a year and a half, as a supervisor in several different capacities. As an established supervisor for 4 years at the time of him taking over the organization, and being on a 3rd new leader in about a year, I was excited and nervous for new leadership. In my first conversation with Amar we discussed his vision, while he sought to understand the time and experiences I had within the company. He furthered this by being the first new leader to actively sit on our floor with our reps to see the real ‘boots on the ground’ approach. This is where I knew Amar was a mentor I wanted to learn and gain knowledge from. He wasn’t just going to come in and force his own agenda, and looked for the internal knowledge when creating his plans. Amar’s high energy and compassion for his people is unrivaled. There was never a time that we spoke where I didn’t feel the enthusiasm and excitement for his job pouring through. As a true manager of people, Amar’s ability to understand and drive the team to be in a productive and positive setting, is certainly a strong suit. Furthermore, the experience I gained and understanding to the depth of business from top to bottom was significant in that time under him. On a personal note, while still within contact and reach, I truly miss my ‘talks’ with Amar. Even when I didn't report directly to him, Amar frequently reached out for my input and genuinely wanted to know how I was doing. I never thought that to be disingenuous. I would highly recommend Amar for his future leadership roles, and any company would benefit from his leadership and presence.
