    • Oracle DBA Developer / Crystal Reporting / Cognos Reporting & Datawarehousing
      • Sep 2008 - Apr 2013

I am part of the Systems Development team where I am developing using Oracle 11g r1. I am developing ETL routines in PL/SQL. My role involves developing reports in Cognos 10 BI and also using Crystal reports enterprise edition. I am developing new cognos packages using Framework Manager based on star schemas which I have designed and implemented using PL/SQL. I am responsible for all Cognos administration work. I have been maintaining stored procedures written in Microsoft SQL Server. An ETL routine has been implemented as database stored procedures and database packages. I have also used Cognos transformer to build data cubes for reporting purposes. We are currently using Toad V9. I designed and implemented reporting solutions using Cognos v10. I developed and implemented packages using Framework manager, so reporting could be created by the end users. I implemented a datawarehouse which was refreshed on a daily basis. The ETL routine used in this was written using PL/SQL on an Oracle database. I have deployed a STAR schema and designed the Fact and dimension tables so that packages could be mapped onto this schema. I also provided training to junior members of staff. I was in total charge of Cognos administration, creating and deleting users, maintaining privileges and scheduling of reports. Documentation was produced at all stages and I have covered the full system life cycle from requirements to testing / implementation. In addition to this I maintained a Cognos cube using Transformer. I have been maintaining stored procedures written in Microsoft SQL Server. I have attended the below training courses :- Cognos 8 BI (Query Studio, Report Studio, Analysis Studio) : Reading – February 2009. Cognos 8 Framework Manager : Wolverhampton - March 2010. Cognos 8 Administration : Wolverhampton - March 2010. Cognos 8 BI Transformer : Wolverhampton - March 2010. Cognos 10 Business Insight - Wolverhampton - April 2011. Show less
