Amanda is incredibly bright and does great work. She is a self-starter and is willing to tackle novel projects and follow-up appropriately with requests for guidance. She is also a wonderful colleague to work with, we really enjoyed having her in the office as our Spring Intern.

Amanda worked for me as a summer and winter break intern for four years, ending in 2007. By any measurement, Amanda was the best intern with which I had worked. Her professionalism, maturity and performance were unequaled. The projects and work assigned to Amanda were always unglamorous, tedious, detail-intensive and of little interest to anyone outside of the wholesale distribution industry. Yet with each assignment, she demonstrated dedication, thoroughness, attention to detail and a sense of accountability rare in people of ANY age. During her intern stints, she was assigned dozens of special projects, critical to the company’s success, but on which its regular employees were unable to focus. These projects included: > Technical database work; what she delivered was as complete and accurate as any full-time employee familiar with the products could have produced. > Identification of, and entry into the company's business system, potential customers; her efforts resulted in significant new revenue for the company. > Procurement of material-handling capital equipment; lead-times on many items extended far past the period of her internship, but her detailed records made the task of finishing up the project very easy. I often got first pick among summer interns to work on my most important projects. I always picked Amanda. I would not post any summer projects unless I knew that Amanda would be there to work on them. Despite my unrealistically high expectations, Amanda never disappointed me. She was a pleasure to work with!
