  I work with a small group of students that are nonverbal and autistic. I also assisted special education teacher in non teaching tasks, provided assistance in developing and implementing curriculum for students with special needs, helped manage educational materials and resources procurement, monitored students’ progress and supervise curriculum based testing procedures, and supervised student activities in class, halls and playgrounds. I also helped students during snack time and with their toileting needs. I encouraged my student along with the other students to take part in specially designed programs. I ensured the safety of students at all times. Along with my student, I helped assist in teaching students self care and enforce positive behavior I ensured confidentiality of student and progress information. I helped provide physical assistant to students who have trouble looking after their physical needs such as sitting and walking. I also help in preparing and distributing educational materials in accordance to the decided lesson plans

  I assisted the lead teacher with activities designed to promote cognitive, physical, and social development. I maintained a daily classroom schedule, which includes learning colors, numbers, the alphabet, and shapes. Created seasonal artwork for hallway and display bulletin boards. I also found creative science experiments to do with the children. I have experience in doing lesson plans, and newsletters for the classroom which I do on a monthly and weekly basis.
