I produced a filmed named Assassin Angels, that explores a day of the life of three boys. It shows a young boy having to make a choice between being accepted by a devious neighborhood boy or embrace his adolescence in order to help preserve the innocence of a friend. The original concept came from Scott Cortez, who wrote this story by combining childhood memories with a hint of fiction. A.J. Sheeran and Ali O’Reily were the screenwriters on this film and were able to bring the story alive as a production blueprint. This film was shot over four days at an all outdoor location, the Damen Silos, which is an abandoned site, in downtown Chicago, Illinois. This location was aesthetically prefect for our film because it showed the empty and abandoned tone that the script embodies. This was a Thesis level film that was fully financed by Columbia College Chicago. It modeled professional practices and was facilitated by department faculty from the industry to guide the film and the student crew. Show less
