- 10-week Participatory Community Practice placement experience as a project facilitator role in an aged care setting. - Collaborated with a student partner to develop and implement a community-based program in SCC with the aim to increase SCC residents’ engagement with outdoor spaces to promote health and well-being. - Conducted a needs analysis and worked closely with SCC to identify the ‘needs’ within the SCC community as well as strategies to address these. - Established connections and networks within the community for the organisation and reached out to stakeholders for involvement of the program. - Developed a resource outlining activities/groups for outdoor space engagement and the benefits of using outdoor spaces to be distributed to SCC community - Practice maintaining confidentiality and incident reporting - Experience as a project facilitator enabled me to grow on my information gathering, communication and self-management skills.
