Bio
Mark Edward Kahn
I was the CEO of the CityPulse where Amanda ran our US editorial group consisting of over 30 freelance writers. Amanda is an "A" player. She has all of the skills, smarts and personality needed to be a great manager, an over-acheiving employee and a pleasure to work with. Amanda finds problems and solves them. She is a fabulous editor and writer and simply always is on point in her stories, reviews, and overall communication. I would work with her, or for her, anytime.
Michaela Potter
Before I knew Amanda as a colleague and friend, I was a fan. As an avid traveler, I became intrigued with The Lost Girls’ adventures. When their book was published, I was so impressed with how the three of them were able to share their experiences while still maintaining their individual voices. And much of that success was due to Amanda’s great communication skills and savvy business sense – not to mention her impressive writing. And now that I do consider her a colleague and friend, I know that when she sets her mind to achieving something, she never looks back – both in life and career. When the answer isn’t always right in front of her, she creatively finds a way to get to it. Amanda has been a big part of our efforts at Meet, Plan, Go! to inspire career breaks and extended travels amongst North Americans. She has been both a contributor to our site and to our events – offering her personal advice and inspiring thousands of people to fulfill their own travel dreams. And she truly is an inspiration – many travel-dreamers I’ve encountered have all referenced Amanda and The Lost Girls as role models. That’s very powerful. Amanda possesses great presence and poise, and I’ve seen (and in some cases, moderated) her on many panel discussions. She is very giving of her time and support and is most definitely a great team player. I’d pick her first any chance I had.
