I have worked with Amanda in both PHP and Inpatient settings and I’m amazed by her clinical abilities. Amanda is a fierce advocate for our vulnerable adolescent populations and her authentic, nonjudgmental, and validating demeanor quickly makes those around her feel safe and heard. I have seen Amanda work with high risk youth and quickly verbally de-escalate them and help them articulate their emotional needs. Amanda is highly skilled at crisis evaluations and safety planning with adolescents and adults. Amanda has knowledge of CBT, DBT, and helping her clients develop coping skills to manage symptoms. She is able to set firm but fair boundaries with her clients and her clients respond well to her ability to do it with compassion and respect. Amanda is an LGBTQ+ ally and continues to build her knowledge of trans specific vulnerabilities and resources to offer them. She is someone who I’ve worked with who shares a passion for creating a safe space for cultural diverse clients, and LGBTQ+ communities!
