Currently pursuing my departmental honors degree in Bioengineering by conducting research in the Nanobiotechnology Lab, advised by Dr. Angela Alexander-Bryant. This research is a continuation of my investigation of spheroids as improved models of ovarian cancer that began during a Summer 2021 REU funded by MiSC (detailed below) as well as a new inquiry of possible peptide-based nanoparticle drug delivery systems.

    • Undergraduate Student Researcher (MiSC REU)
      • May 2021 - Jul 2021

Conducted research as a part of the Materials Assembly and Design Excellence in South Carolina (MiSC) NSF-funded Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU), advised by Dr. Angela Alexander-Bryant in the Nanobiotechnology lab. Investigated the use of 3D cell culture methods for the formation of ovarian cancer spheroids that model the acquired chemoresistance of real tumors better than traditional 2D culture methods.
