  Educating the public about their role and legal responsibilities under the Animal Welfare Act 2006 to pet owners. Enforcing the Environmental Protection Act 1990 that deals with stray dogs. Restrain and transport stray dogs in a safe and humane manner, where welfare is priority. Liaise and work alongside other welfare organisations to improve standards of animal welfare when required. Enforce dog related legislation under the Abandonment Act 1960. Ensuring owners fulfill their responsibilities as pet owners and are made aware of the Abandonment Act 1960. Dealing with aggressive/dangerous dogs with different restraint techniques and enforcing the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991. Keeping accurate and concise records of animal welfare and stray dog files.
