Snapshot: Develop engaging curriculum and lesson plans for a variety of student audiences (grades levels and demographics). Plan and prepare laboratories and materials to introduce students to experimentation and safety protocols. Evaluate student growth and progress and develop plans to address areas of weakness. Guide learning process toward achievement of curriculum and district assessment goals. Promote academic excellence through participating in and leading initiatives to redesign curriculums, lesson structure, and teaching strategies to encourage and prepare students to succeed academically beyond high school. Analyze data to understand trends and create outcomes based on evidence-based research. Write proposals regarding implementation recommendations and present to school administrators for approval. Instrumental in coordinating the efforts of Secondary Redesign Team as Data Co-Chair to develop framework, policies, and curriculum recommendations based on data from neighboring districts to increase desired assessment outcomes. Collaborated with internal and external teams, including stakeholders to organize and write proposal to implement district wide programs that incorporate new teaching and engagement methods. Remain abreast of student learning outcomes, assessments, and effective strategies implemented in schools with low drop-out rates, high test scores, and increased rates of college transitions.
