To whom it may concern, Amanda Karchaske is one of the most gifted, progressive, and influential people that I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with. Amanda is a kind, spirited and compassionate person in her field of education. When it comes to performance, Amanda demonstrates readiness and can adapt to an environment with very little time. She has developed her lesson plans beautifully as well as displayed competency in her content. Amanda's skill of being able to adjust easily, as well as her quick thinking, is what has made her so successful and gifted as a teacher. Her method of teaching inspires young students to come every day and participate to the best of their abilities. Her students trust and respect her as is obviously shown in a classroom setting. Her skills are well rounded when it comes to teaching strategies and she is incredibly reliable as she shows up and rarely misses a day. I have worked with Amanda Karchaske since the start of the Masters of Teaching and Single Subject Teacher Credential program through National University. Amanda exudes professionalism and shows dedication to the learning of others, including herself. She taught me a tremendous amount in regards to learning theories like Bloom's Taxonomy, Depth of Knowledge, and inclusivity in the classroom. Amanda, also shows strong knowledge of Social Emotional Learning and Universal Design for Learning in the classroom, which are integral in school for student success academically, emotionally and promote future success in life. Amanda’s growth in this program and experience as a Second Language Teacher, coupled with her deep knowledge of History and Social Science, will prove as tremendous assets for her students to want to learn and be the best version of themselves.
