  I work with 16 children who have developmental disabilites in their home providing direct care, teaching them new daily living skills such as how to eat, how to clean, how to brush their teeth and communicate via signing or speech devices. We take the children out in the community to parks and events to foster community inclusion and teach social skills. Worked closely with outside agencies and contractors: Agency for Persons with Disabilities, Professional guardians, Nursing, PT, OT, speech therapist, dietician and family members. Completed monthly resident right meetings and recreational activity calendar. Managed and completed all state benefits of individuals to include: medicaid, Medicare, SSI and SSA. Managed individuals trust funds to ensure they had all the supplies needed and did not exceed $2,000. Managed programming and recreation budget with corporate card. Completed interviewing and selection of direct care staff and RPD’s to complete are required steps in the hiring process.
