Amanda is one of the most passionate people I know and this passion encompasses both her personal and professional life. She is diligent with every task she is given and meets challenges head on to resolve them quickly and effectively. I have had the pleasure of working on projects with Amanda in school and continue to collaborate with her in our new careers. I am most thankful for the positive energy she exudes every day and know I can always count on her.

I worked for the Construction Management Department at Southern Illinois University, this position gives me the chance to see the other side of the construction field. I was able to use some of my past experiences and apply them to this position. The main responsibilities for this position are; take offs, change orders, cost issues, field proceed orders, request for parts, punch lists and estimating among several more things. I enjoyed this position because it gives me the opportunity to learn new things that will become extremely helpful in my future career.

I learned more and more with everyday. My main priority is to learn as much as I can and help keep our work environment as safe as possible. I helped with SIU Student Services Building here in Carbondale. As an intern with McCarthy my duties consist of posting RFI's, updating the Revit model, doing As-Builts, punch-lists and much more. As everyday passed, I tackle new opportunities to learn and make this the best experience I can. I love a good challege and taking on new projects. I learned more and more with everyday.
