Key Role and Accountabilities: Overseeing a staff compliment of over 40 people in various departments such as, Customer Services, Letting, Accounts Receivable and Payables, Utilities, Credit Control and Property Accountants. Ensuring that all accounting functions and duties are accurately and promptly completed. Ensure that all accounting functions are completed in accordance with established procedures and applicable regulations. Assist staff to identify and resolve issues around their duties and expected work output. Review financial information contained in the monthly management packs prepared for the various legal entities under the management of Afhco Property Management together with the property accountants who report directly to me. Attend monthly meeting with property owners to present monthly management packs and discuss any issues raised. Budget preparations and formulation of 1, 3 and 5 year projections and financial analyses for each legal entity together with group consolidation packs. Prepare regular reports and statements for management. Control of various financial functions including checking and authorization of all payments from accounts for the group. Control management of Trust Accounts and ensure compliance with The Estates Agent Affairs Board Act. Completion of relevant Audit Certificates for annual submission to the board. Review all audit files prepared by property accountants. Preparation of draft financial statements of companies using Case ware. Assist company auditors with the annual audit process to finality.
