At The Learning Tree, I was hired as an infant assistant teacher, and was promoted to Lead after earning my CDA. Lead teachers were expected to keep up on paperwork, lesson plan, interact with positive guidance, record developmental milestones, and provide outstanding costumer service to the parents of our students. Childtime was the first childcare center I worked at. I started as support staff, moved up to an infant assistant, and eventually took over as the lead teacher. During my time with the Blyskal's, I learned a lot about young children. Their daughter was 2-4 while I watched her, which was perfect because that's the age group I'm interested in working with. Savanna and I spent two days a week constantly busy. I helped potty train her, learn to ride a bike, and even some basic math and reading thanks to an online program. I was in charge of meals for the day, and we loved cooking together as well. Sadly, the family moved away too far for me to reasonably continue a part-time job with them. However, I'm still close to them and keep in contact. Show less
