Managed two direct reports responsible for consumer complaints, raw material specifications and supplier communication. Responsible for all USDA/FDA labeling issues, including submittals, compliance with changing regulations, communication of changes to company and private label customers, staying involved in advocacy groups, attend training yearly to maintain knowledge base. Responsible for organic labeling compliance. Maintained nutrition database for both raw materials and finished goods, create ingredient statements, and nutrition facts panels. Responsible for finished good specifications both internal and external, coordination with private label customers to ensure compliance with external specification systems, implemented current finished good specification process. Managed cross functional projects as needed for label updates (including FDA NFP transition, USDA AMS Bioengineering compliance), complaint reduction, continuous improvement. Communication daily with upper management including VP’s and executives as well as making recommendations regarding regulatory compliance and complaint trends. Conducted training with various cross functional teams relating to process improvement, complaint reduction, label compliance.
