As a part time teacher I work with students in small groups to refine and concentrate on areas they struggle with, these subjects mostly include math, reading and writing. I am responsible for documentation of the student's progress, while maintain communication with the teachers and parents I work with. Along with small groups I also focus on students who need RTI (response to intervention). Holy Family Catholic Academy is a small private school serving students grades Pre-K to 8th grade. As an ASC monitor I watch over a Kindergarten class, it is my responsibility to ensure safety while they are in my care. I try to make the time I have with them fun and exciting, we have made our own flubber, cards, kites, and ice cream sundaes. We spend a lot of our time outside playing and doing interactive activities. Holy Family Catholic Academy is a small private school serving students grades Pre-K to 8th grade. • AVID Tutor
      • Aug 2011 - Present

AVID is a nation wide program that provides guidance, tutorials and support for the average high school student who strives to attend a 4-year University after graduating from high school. I have been working with AVID since I graduated in 2011 and have had watched my students grow into responsible, hard-working and determined individuals that strive to earn a college degree. As a tutor we work with 4-6 students at a time based on subject. We facilitate and guide students to solve their point of confusion but encourage students to work with each other as team mates and peers. Show less

I am a certified babysitter with CPR training. I started babysitting as young at 13 years old and it has always been a natural instinct for me. I have met wonderful families and children through babysitting. I am currently attending Chaminade University to earn an Elementary Education degree with a specialty in Special Education so I like to be interactive with the children I babysit with fun activities and outdoor adventures. If you are interest in a babysitter, please send me an email at birda@hawaii.edu. Show less
