Act as Project Manager for the implementation of chaptered AB 567 (Chapter 746, Statutes of 2019), including the creation and management of the California Long Term Care Insurance Task Force, a 15-member advisory body with the task of designing a statewide long-term care insurance program to be outlined in a Feasibility and Actuarial Report submitted to the Legislature and the Governor. Worked to secure funding to hire a consultant, drafted the Scope of Work, and serve as co-facilitator of all Task Force meetings on behalf of the Commissioner. Coordinated the hire of a Chief Executive Officer for the California Conservation and Liquidation Office, a semi-public agency within the department, which included the creation and review of a new appointment process, review of an employment agreement, and acted as advisor to the appointee through the Senate Rules Committee confirmation process. Responsible for the identification, recruitment, deliberation, and management of all appointments for the several advisory boards, task forces, and committees at the department that develop public policy for consumer protection in the realm of insurance as well as advise the Commissioner and executive staff.
