To Those It may Concern, I had the pleasure of working with Amanda VanNierop as an employee of mine, during the 2022 Missouri Fine Arts Academy. It is my pleasure to highly recommend her to all interested organizations and entities. Amanda worked with me as an Resident Assistant/Team Leader for the program, managing a group of six, or more, high school students at a time. During her time with me, I was amazed by the exemplary leader she was. She was attentive and vigilant with appointments and meetings, a team player, and overall pleasant person. More importantly, those who interacted under her leadership noted the positive impression she left on them. When I think about individuals who exemplify the ideal employee, Amanda come to mind first. Not only would I be honored to have her on my team again, but any employer would benefit from having her on their team. Top qualities desired by employers include the ability to communicate, work in a team setting, think critically, and manage time. Amanda has these qualities and more. I am grateful for the opportunity I had to work with her and I will be watching her future career endeavors with excitement and high expectation. Sincerely, Dr. Stephen Spates Missouri State University

Amanda had an enviable set of experiences as a result of her ability to take on a professional writing role while still in college. While serving as a game writer with Brunette Games, she concepted characters and wrote dialogue for the high-profile Disney Frozen franchise, she pitched stories and scripts for two Family Guy titles, and she was a fantastic team support on several new games in development. She helped write and design 13 released titles, with a global reach and worldwide revenue totaling anywhere from 100K to $1M per month. I highly recommend Amanda for any writing opportunity!

The Missouri Fine Arts Academy (MFAA) is a two-week summer residential program for highly motivated high school student artists in visual arts, theatre, dance, creative writing, and music. As a resident assistant, I worked closely with a group of students, leading and supervising them in the residence hall. I helped to create an atmosphere that encouraged students to take advantage of all that MFAA has to offer. I also assisted with the academic and/or co-curricular programs, including helping in MFAA classrooms, supervising groups of students at events, facilitating workshops or programs, conducting daily assemblies, and performing office duties.
