As Vice President Marketing, I lead a team focused on Paid Acquisition, Organic Search, Technical Growth, Data Analytics, Pricing, Conversion, and Brand for our many marketplaces. I’ve also led the CareGuide Core team, which includes Designers, Product Managers, Engineers, and Customer Success through the OKR goal setting process. As the first marketing hire, in the early years I focused on discovering, automating, & scaling traction channels which now operate efficiently at scale, including email, social, search, & paid. I’ve also been responsible for developing financial projections, marketplace health metrics, and models to quantify network effects, all using advanced SQL. Other efforts during my four years at CareGuide include: - Hiring and developing junior employees into managers - Developing non-technical employees into advanced SQL and novice Ruby contributors - Launching brand new revenue-generating business units - Assisting through two acquisitions (one of an industry incumbent) - Helping lead fundraising and Board meetings CareGuide is a vertically-focused marketplace for care services and household payments. We have raised over $11M in venture funding and debt financing from some of the most notable venture capital investors, including Structure Capital, FJ labs, and iNovia Capital. We broke Angellist when we raised the most robust Seed round in Canadian history.

I was a key team member in launching the company’s novel Interactive Textbook product, aimed at displacing traditional textbooks and publishers. Previously, as Top Hat’s only Content Marketer, I planned and executed the company’s entire content marketing strategy. I made actionable, data-driven decisions to expand the company's brand, while ensuring each marketing campaign drove revenue. Here I developed proficiency in HTML & CSS, and leveraged tools such as Salesforce, Google Analytics, Hubspot, Marketo, Mailchimp, Wordpress, and Unbounce. Top Hat is a teaching platform targeting higher education. The company has raised over $40M in venture funding from some of the most distinguished investors in the world, including Union Square Ventures, Georgian Partners, Emergence Capital, and iNovia Capital.
