I worked with Mainspring Healthcare Solutions to learn about the Clinical Engineering field as I am receiving my Masters degree in Biomedical Engineering with a focus in Clinical Engineering. One of my larger responsibilities was helping in the creation of a master list of devices by manufacturer, device, and model to help clean hospital databases. New models are always added to inventory and the master list needs to be up kept to provide clean data to hospitals. I also shadowed project managers at Mainspring to see how they worked with hospitals to provide the services necessary to improve the workflows in biomedical and clinical engineering departments.
