The program was designed to train newly graduated financial professionals to become a management accountant, in 24 months, while assisting the financial reporting function. I stepped up to assist the team with monthly and daily routine work, while understanding the business. It was my first time working in a manufacturing company. Within the first 6 months, my inquisitive nature drove me to compare a supplier invoice with the contract... saving the company R4.8m.
