I provide a personalized coaching program for individuals who seek to build their metabolic health. Often, this is with the goal of sustained weight loss and/or lowering blood sugar levels. Experience coaching those with pre-diabetes or diabetes. I conduct virtual consultations (in-person if local) in an effort to connect a person’s health and wellness goals to their values and personal belief system. To do this, I used evidence-based coaching methods such as Motivational Interviewing, Self-Determination Theory, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy. I approach each relationship from a place of non-judgement, curiosity, and respect for culture. I work with compassion and the belief that every person already has all of the tools they need within themselves. In partnership with the client, I co-create an accountability plan to promote self-efficacy and autonomy. I educate clients regarding the science of nutrition, i.e. how insulin affects metabolism and foods to support a low insulin producing diet. I address additional factors that influence health such as: sleep hygiene, stress management, activities for personal fulfillment (play), and connection to community. Show less
