From AUG-NOV 2010, I had the pleasure of working with & supervising Alyson as part of the Deepwater Horizon/MC252 Response’s Jefferson Parish Branch, Grand Isle, LA. As a Marsh/Shoreline Operations Strike Team Leader, Alyson assessed impacts of, & monitored cleanup of, 4 bayous, 7 miles of beach, & 579 square miles of waterways & marshland. As her supervisor on the Decontamination Assessment Team, I was impressed by Alyson’s superior organizational & customer relations skills, including good humor & an infectious smile. 100% reliable with great attention to detail, Alyson quickly learned a new job within days, personally verifying over 120 response vessels were safely decontaminated & not a threat to the environment; her documentation was complete & timely for the demobilization process, contributing to effective use of project funds. On numerous occasions, Alyson identified & oversaw deficiency corrections in vessels’ decon. In particular, when a 46’ vessel with 3 persons on-board appeared to be taking on excessive water while at the decon facility; Alyson immediately notified me of the potential risk to life & property, enabling the vessel to be dewatered, assessed, & repaired, rather than lost. I would gladly work with Alyson any time; she would be a valuable asset to any organization.
