Touring the world, volunteering community service, performing shows and experiencing different cultures with over 100 fellow international participants. UWP works with local charities and other organisations such as United Way (Mexico and USA), Boys & Girls Clubs, Habitat for Humanity, The Salvation Army, Loaves and Fishes, Red Cross, and many more. Community work and performances aside, I assisted UWP in internship and apprenticeship positions such as book-keeping for the Admissions Department; ticket collecting and ordering for the shows; selling merchandise and creating UWP Newsletters. I have broadcast information across cultures with the UWP News Crew, presenting current events and stories to participants from around the world. I have also worked on the Logistics and Operational Management of the participants, helping to organize travels and other opportunities. My performances and community service work has been undertaken in most of the Mid-Western and Western states of the US and through Central and Southern Mexico. In Europe, I have done similar work in Sweden, Denmark, Germany and Belgium. This experience has been priceless, if, for no other reason, it has allowed me to become more independent and I have learned different cultures and useful skills. Show less
