My remit is to strengthen key project controls management of two associated subsidiaries for CPC Holding companies, out of a portfolio of 15, taking ownership of task delegation. I ensure availability and quality of project control tools for progress reporting and task efficiency. I liaise with subsidiaries to devise and implement project execution plan, review pricing and costs, deliver leadership for project teams to enhance project controls. I coordinate regular review meetings to discuss project status and make recommendations to enable project delivery and client satisfaction. I attend quarterly meetings to review P&L, make operational updates, analyse markets and optimize strategies to enable better outcomes, while achieving project deliverables on time. I partner with project managers/teams to identify issues and recommend action plans to improve processes, mitigate risks, deliver workstreams to project plan, monitor and drive a consistent approach across subsidiaries. Lead Cost Engineer - Oil & Gas Project

Leading a team of cost control engineers, the remit was to create a cost breakdown structure for major projects, involving contract development and budget allocation. I verified all costs charged to projects for contract validity and conformance to meet compensation requirements. I evaluated actual costs using an earned value management system to ensure periodic budget target achievement and minimize overspend. I consulted with project team on corrective action planning and ongoing project reviews to forecast any additional finance requirements, identify variances and define future mitigation strategies, this was in addition to providing cost engineering and estimation services, using Primavera P6 and MS Office throughout. My remit was to enable project initiation by preparing an execution plan, estimates, budget data and appropriate controls such as productivity reports. I facilitated monthly cost data, schedules and updated plans, value of work done reports, corrective actions and feedback for senior management team. I reviewed and followed up subcontractor invoice registration for accuracy. In partnership with project managers and related teams, we collectively prepared monthly client invoices and quantity surveys. My key contributions included:• Created KPIs to aid senior management in controlling and monitoring project budget.• Aided project team in verifying costs charged to the project relating to contract validity.• Embedded earned value management system and reporting to aid in project tracking.

My initial focus was to analyse, review and prepare accurate rates for overheads, production and service units. I supervised project control deliverables across equipment division, facilities management and scaffolding unit, controlling related budgets and all subcontracts. I identified risks and market share in preparation of project forecast reports, business plans and SWOT analysis, in addition to financial models and cash flow reports. I shaped plans and project requirement updates to meet service and production unit needs. My key contributions included:• Prepared top management to drive change with corrective and preventative action plans.• Enhanced the efficiency of the ERP project module system by contributing to procedures.

Planning & Cost Control Engineer

As a client representative, I attended all project kick-off meetings to formulate plans and applied changes to master schedule on receipt of subcontractor monthly plans and value of work done. I made comparisons with contractor payment certificates to identify variances, confirm validity and meet contractual compensation requirements. I reported directly to the client with verified data analytics captured from project site and contractor teams. I created a clear review of project status for the client with regular progress reports and quarterly presentations.
