I cannot recommend Alwin Yen highly enough! I have known Alwin for years as his teacher and one of the senior administrators in his school, PAS, and can speak to his being a terrific student and wonderful human being. However, I want to focus this on my experience as his client. As Model United Nations Director at PAS, I asked Alwin to help develop an online note-passing system for our MUN conference, PASMUN, as we converted to an all-digital conference. The platform that Alwin led his team to develop was absolutely outstanding. In the first year of use, this web-based platform functioned flawlessly to help delegates communicate while being monitored and moderated by committee admin staff. In its second iteration, Alwin and his team used feedback to further develop the platform to be more self-contained, more adaptable for different conferences, and able to handle a number of roles beyond note passing including amendment submission, announcements, and delegate participation tracking. Several other MUN programs are now expressing very serious interest in this platform, so that a high school project has the very real potential to be the start of a successful development business. I highly encourage any and all to work with this young man, as he is definitely going places!
