    • Graduate Student Project Lead
      • Jan 2014 - Sep 2014

Worked on team that consisted of various stakeholders which included local residents, Neighborhood Housing Services of Silicon Valley (NHSSV), City of San Jose staff in various departments, San Jose State faculty and San Jose State University graduate students. Initially, this project started as a real-world case study for a graduate level urban design class where students immersed themselves in this neglected part of downtown San Jose. The goal at the end of this course was to analyze, understand and re-imagine this area using urban design interventions which was eventually presented to various stakeholders. This eventually led to a partnership between SJSU students, faculty and NHSSV working together to develop a potential cafe in St. James Park. My role in this project included the research of public infrastructure, various designs of the cafe, construction costs, as well as presenting findings to stakeholder meetings. Show less
