  Given the unfortunate news of the physical departure of Maestro José Antonio Abreu Anselmi, founder of the National System of Youth and Children's Orchestras of Venezuela last Saturday, March 24, 2018, an organized group of Venezuelan musicians belonging to the aforementioned System and currently based in the Colombian capital, led by myself together with the valuable collaboration of the Batuta Foundation, the Bogota Philharmonic, Tocar y Luchar Cafam, the Austrian Embassy in Colombia and the New Philharmonic, we have decided to join forces in order to honor the memory of such an honorable Maestro, with a Binational Concert at the León De Greiff Auditorium, on May 15, 2018. The event, which brought together more than 350 people on stage, will feature the participation of Venezuelan and Colombian musicians under the baton of the Masters Manuel López- Gómez, Ricardo Jaramillo and the participation of Colombian youth programs inspired by the System. Ante la lamentable noticia de la partida física del Maestro José Antonio Abreu Anselmi, fundador del Sistema Nacional de Orquestas Juveniles e Infantiles de Venezuela el pasado sábado 24 de marzo de 2018, un grupo organizado de músicos venezolanos pertenecientes al mencionado Sistema y radicados actualmente en la capital colombiana, liderado por mi persona junto con la valiosa colaboración de la Fundación Batuta, Filarmónica de Bogotá, Tocar y Luchar Cafam, Embajada de Austria en Colombia y la Nueva Filarmonía, hemos decidido reunir esfuerzos con el fin de honrar la memoria de tan honorable Maestro, con un Concierto Binacional en el Auditorio León De Greiff, el día 15 de Mayo de 2018. El evento, que reunió más de 350 personas en escena contará con la participación de músicos venezolanos y colombianos bajo la Batuta de los Maestros Manuel López-Gómez, Ricardo Jaramillo y la participación de los programas juveniles colombianos inspirados en el Sistema.
