Alona joined the Office of HR at Linnaeus University last year in order for the university to increase the efforts made on information and support for incoming international employees. Alona was part of launching that work, as well as maintaining other HR- processes e.g. recruitment, introduction and information material. Since Alona has an international background it was natural for her to get a sense of what type of information and support the incoming staff needed. She was very appreciated by the colleagues and by the new employees as they felt very welcomed by her. Alona is always passionate, ambitious and hard working. She is determined and comes prepared to meetings. She wants a dialogue about the work tasks and takes pride in handing in a work well done and on time. She constantly sees new opportunities to networking and she gives inspiration to the team, always with lots of energy and positiveness.

Aloña Carballo was employed as an administrative assistant at the HR-Office of Linnaeus University for a period of nine months (June 2019-February 2020). Aloña demonstrated a genuine interest for HR-work, very good organizational skills and a deep sense of responsibility. Aloña's assignments demanded a high degree of collaboration with others as well as good coordination of independent work. Her performance held a high standard and it was a pleasure having her around.
