  • Perform donor screenings and document eligibility and qualifications. • Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture for blood sampling and order specific laboratory tests. • Process specimens, allocate the quantity needed for the tests, and prepare samples for transport. • Perform a complete blood count using the Horiba machine. • Perform urinalysis, urine pregnancy test, and rapid urine drug screen. • Perform routine quality control and calibration of different equipment. • Perform whole blood collection for whole blood donations. • Perform vital signs and sterile tray set up for bone marrow collections. • Assist MD/NP in bone marrow aspiration. • Manage donor reaction along with RN and coworkers. • Assist RN in Leukapheresis collections. • Perform Spectra Optia machine set up, prime, and tear down. • Maintain confidentiality of donor’s information.
