For my master thesis project, I was working on a project based on multifunctional nanoparticles as probes for cancerous cells. It consisted in synthesizing lanthanum iodate nanoparticles doped with rare earth ions to achieve both second harmonic generation and luminescence signal. The internship include the characterization of the nanoparticles and analysis of the data, using techniques such as SEM, TEM, PL, SHG and XRD. During this period, I was working on different experimental compounds (CuSO4, Mg(NO3)2) to understand the characterization and decomposition using the "homemade" DTA with the adjustment of isotermic temperature. I also worked with the same compound I characterize them using Raman Spectroscopy to see the process of before and after the decomposition occurred.
