      • Building Stronger Families is a project which involves work with parents from the community to promote a culture of respect. We promote this campaign through workshops, trainings, and events. It is a lot of work that gets put into this project, but the collaboration with many agencies and endless work from the community makes it rewarding. • As for GRYD, this position entails providing middle school students with youth developments. It is a time for them to practice communication, problem-solving, adaptability, and building trust. I facilitated different activities that I know will be fun and beneficial in their life. Such topics include; anger management, team building, nutrition, hygiene, and a couple more. It is rewarding to hear students tell me they are using, outside of class, the techniques we learn during our youth developments. • Apart from my two main responsibilities I have also become involved in planning community events, intake screening, becoming certified as a monitored visitor, tax preparer and a health educator facilitator for the center.
