Teachers Aide
-
Jan 2007 - Mar 2008
After taking American Sign Language I, II, and III, my teacher recommended me for the next teacher's aide position. When necessary, I facilitated communication between the teacher and students in American Sign Language I classes. I served as the 'ears' for the teacher notifying him of any disruptions in the class, helped students feel more comfortable by assuring them they hadn't missed any important information, and organized daily paperwork for the teacher. After a couple weeks as the teacher's aide, I was also hired by the college as a tutor for students in American Sign Language I, II, or III. Students would schedule individual lessons or attend one of my set group sessions on campus. Show less
