Within the first six months of working at the Dawson Inn, I developed an outreach program that in-turn increased the occupancy by greater than 10%. The community outreach program included using marketing outlets such as local TV, amping up the social media presence and using print media. Outreach also included networking with other healthcare agencies and providers in the area to grow awareness of the Inn and its servicesRelevant information was researched to launch the first Dawson Inn newsletter to the community and healthcare providers. The newsletter included messages about the services provided to the community and the impact those resources had on the community members.The first community wide fundraising event was planned and implemented. The fundraising event surpassed our fundraising goals and produced a large profit to help those in the community requiring our resources.

Engaged in public speaking to educate the community about cancer prevention and awareness. Developed and provided knowledge based quizzes and personal education based on results.Assisted with fundraising efforts and events resulting in over $17,000 for cancer patients in need.

Assessed the needs of the elderly community and developed appropriate interventions to help reach those needs. Designed an 8-week health program geared towards education on ways to get more physical activity with measurable goals and objectives. Implemented the interventions while constantly obtaining feedback to ensure the goals were going to be met at the end of the program.
